The Golden Lion

As trivialities mount
My fears they unfold
The Golden Lion roars
So extremely bold

A roar so almighty
That it brings the tears
Through the ducts of my eyes
That have been dry for years

Oh what I'd give to afford the cage
That would imprison that lion so we both could age
Age and mellow, free from all pain
Like the bawdy wine that flows through my veins

As trivialities mount
My fears they unfold
The Golden Lion roars
So extremely bold
